Kostel Panny Marie Pred Tynem, Prague

4.7
Boasting a pair of unmistakable spires, Kostel Panny Marie Pred Tynem is one of the symbols of the city, dominating the skyline of its old town. Originally built to service primarily foreign merchants visiting the city on business, the church features a Gothic exterior and Baroque interior. You may have to stand far back to fully appreciate the building's 80 m (262 m) high Gothic towers, completed in the early 1500s. Much easier to see from a comfortable perspective, the interior notably includes a Rococo altar and the tomb of Tycho Brahe, a distinguished astronomer and royal consultant. • The landmarks of the old town square. Impressive Spire made strange shapes came out in fantasy. Where the building in front of the entrance is so important. Opulence is originally a Hussite Church was now a Catholic Church, so have a luxurious setting, but not in big as appearance. Not take photos so visitors only.

  • Very beautiful square. Currently theybare setting up for an Easter market it looks like. Honey wine and other Czech food, Czech snacks and other items and knicknacks for sale in the stalls. Loads of space and things to do around and in the area.
  • The church of the best land mark in whole Prague Amazing design , great interior design for the church You should go and feel the faithful even for non Christians The prayers schedule available on the website if you like to attend Good shop for gifts and souvenirs Easy to reach there by metro of general transportation any time The area opposite the church amazing for photography Recommended to visit by all Czech visitors
  • Right now there are beautifully decorated Christmas trees all around inside. It's amazing. The paintings of Christ are my favorite part. Please please please, don't take pictures and whisper. Please.
  • Closed due to technical problems, did u ever hear the like of it, goes to show how money runs the church in non religious country, sad day especially for the devout.
  • One of the most beautiful cathedrals in Europe, the twin spines are just spectacular and eye catching. Definitely should not miss this attraction. Head to the old town hall where you can view the whole structure of the cathedral as well as the old town square
