  • Visits must be prepared with care and require booking. The attendants are friendly and knowledgeable and we shall prepare the best prior to the visit itself. Giotto's paintings are beautiful and bewitching, even moving, is a sight not to be missed, a masterpiece which I would describe as unique in the world. You would never stand to take pictures and enjoy fully the wonderful spectacle of art and history. The photos can be found in various specialized sites, but the emotion of your vision you will return None!

  • Amazing monument to visit, fully painted by Giotto. The time to visit it is strict (you have exactly 15 mins, with another 15 seeing a mandatory video previously), and it isn't cheap. You totally should visit it anyway, as it is by far the most interesting thing to see in Padova. Incredible experience.
  • Beautiful art work ! must see, but go early and figure out all the details so not to expect much help from the people running it!! You maybe lucky and end up with one of the very few friendly helpful people that work their. Beware of the man at the cloak table and the man that takes your money at the gift store. I will never go back to this little village again. They have very much religious art work but as far as living what Jesus taught dont count on finding it their. Very Bad experience ! Some of the woman were extremely nice but the rude and lack of hospitality over shadowed the ugly, rude people that were running this beautiful chapel of art work. Very odd
  • you get locked in here for 15 minutes so you have plenty of time to take in the breathtaking artwork by Giotto.
  • As all the art history books will tell you. this is an important milestone in the development of Western art, progressing from the work of Giotto's teacher Cimabue. You get to see the early stages of emotional representation, perspective and a realistic architectural space, as opposed to the flatter, unemotional world of Byzantine icons that had set the template previously. If you have booked the chapel, it might initially seem rather expensive for a 15 minute visit. Which it would be, but that ticket does also include the considerably more extensive complex where the ticket hall is situated. That includes archaeological finds from the Roman period, right through to examples of local Paduan painters a few centuries after Giotto. As many other reviewers have said, it's a shame you only get 15 minutes to take in Giotto's masterpiece in the chapel, because that is not enough time to look at it properly. However, I can understand it's necessary for preservation of a fragile work of art. If you are claustrophobic, then be aware that you have to sit in a room (albeit with glass walls) for around 20 minutes before you can enter, in order to remove humidity. They show a video about the chapel to pass the time.
  • Many come to Padova just to see this. Beautiful chapel and reminds me of the Sistine Chapel.
