  • It's our favorite place to be, this is the real Japanese market, and there's a lot of home buyers in the morning, and there's a lot of food to eat, and we can have fresh, tasty foods/seafood/sleepy. We tried to produce soy milk, there is no sweet, very thick bean flavor, related things to cook super tasty, there are a lot of food ... But we didn't try chicken bubbles.

  • As well as fish merchants, many grocery stores on Sunday. Pretty cheap, so Buy Lady stockings or socks. I think eating out market itself is not that big, but also allows, where guests can relax. So crowded is the end of the year.

  • It's a big and great market and perfect especially for those who love seafoods. It also has a lot of variety of food stalls and stores and so many tourists. I love this place, it's a clean market and very near to subway stations.
  • Fresh seafood stalls. Fruits and dried seafood. Very busy from morning to late afternoon. Nice to spend some time here if you are in Osaka.
  • Lotsa seafood! If you like grilled scallops lobster king crab and huge assortment of sashimi, this place is for you. It can get crowded on weekends. Note opening hours on different days. Closes by 6pm so good to plan a visit there for brunch or lunch time to get fresh finds.
  • It’s originally a neighborhood market, slowly it became famous tourist must visit market. They have good options of fresh seafood, but overpriced! Because of tourist. If you’re traveling a bunch of people, is good to share those king crab, is kinda cheap after divided sum. But if you’re alone, is good for you to check-in.
  • Some sushi and food stalls. Really crowded on a Saturday morning as this seems to be a place popular with tourist. Wouldn't say the food is of highest quality though.

Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.
