  • Agreed with another reviewer that you need to control yourself to shop in this area. If you buy and start eating from the first stall to the end (both sides including the side streets), you definitely...  more »
  • Visit 30 years ago, my mother-in-law and we walked in. So yummy that has her and experience the atmosphere of the old days, but now especially in Asian tourism-oriented solid feeling fairly differed. I want more of retro feel.

  • This is one of the better markets in Japan. Make sure you come hungry because there are tons of great food to try! Definitely grab some snacks from the stalls and try the scallops on shell. Well worth the ¥800. I also saw fuju fish if you're up for some poisonous fish but don't worry, the chefs are professional!
  • A must see if you are in Osaka. So much to look at and discover. Best is definitely to stop at one of the small restaurants or even tiny shops to try the fresh seafood. Sea urchins can be huge and expensive but they certainly are delicious. We also had grilled king crab and it was superb. Some shops don’t sell drinks or beers but they will point at the closest convenience store where you can buy and bring your own.
  • This is a must stop place for food lovers. Road side food stalls are hygiene and generally safe too eat. In addition, the markets can be found in this vicinity are pack with fresh produce. So do take some time to walk around and excites your taste buds, you will be grateful for it! Remember to bring cash. They do not entertain credit payments.
  • We have a great time at Kuromon. Our 1st time experience with a typical Japanese market - the sights, smell and sounds. We have seen markets like this on the tele and this 1st-hand experience was really good. From fresh produce to a full meal are available here. People are very friendly and some even spoke Mandarin or English.
  • A relatively hidden gem just north of DenDen town, this street market rivals several of the more well-known markets in other parts of Japan, and is a great spot for tourists to visit. Recommend going during the weekday, as it gets packed on the weekends and holidays. Really awesome selection of street market stalls and delicious foods. Be sure to try the baby octopus on a stick, and the candied melon!
