The short ride allows you to see Mount Ikoma in the east and Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in the west. Located next to the world-famous Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, this attraction was built in 1997 and stands at 112.5 m (369 ft) high. We took this as part of the Amazing Pass. It offers a very good view of the harbour area and USJ. The attraction appears very new.  more »

Osaka game ticket can be free to take the week!! But not very many people's view point. View view beautiful, you can see the harbour. Can choose liquid transparent car tank or normal car tank. Car body with little tasks with little float, be careful people afraid of heights little.

Worth the experience. Though if you are afraid of heights like me, it can be quite daunting when it's windy and the "cabin" you are seated in sways & "squeaks" slightly. Otherwise wonderful view. Whole ride is approx 15 mins or so.

Very lovely panoramic views of the Osaka port. A full ride takes around 15 minutes. Option to take the see-through gondola which has a transparent floor is free, but associated with longer wait. Very beautiful view. Combination ticket with aquarium available.

Only worth coming here if you have the amazing pass for osaka. Just a typical ferris wheel. You have the option for see through base or not. Little longer wait for the see through. Its a nice view. Scary for those afriad of heights. The aquarium and santa maria cruise is nearby.

Cool at night because of the various light patterns the wheel has. Also good for taking skyline pictures. Completely clear glass compartments available at no extra charge but with a much longer wait time. Clear car is pretty much just to say you did it because it doesn't offer any better view of the surrounding area. Regular compartments will do just fine for pictures of the skyline.

A very nice ferris wheel. A good way to get a view of Osaka from above. There are regular cabins and cabins with a glass bottom, but the queue for that is a lot longer. We waited in line, but were rerouted to the regular ones at the last moment, due to heavy winds.

Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.
