Tupelo

Tupelo is the county seat and the largest city of Lee County, Mississippi. Explore Tupelo's surroundings by going to Oxford (Square Books, Confederate Cemetery, & more), Corinth (Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center & Borroum's Drug Store) and Dismals Canyon (in Haleyville). Spend the 22nd (Fri) exploring nature at Natchez Trace Parkway. The adventure continues: take in the history at Shiloh National Military Park, tour the pleasant surroundings at Spring Park, admire nature's wide array of creatures at University of North Alabama, and steep yourself in history at Frank Lloyd Wright Rosenbaum.

For where to stay, reviews, traveler tips, and other tourist information, go to the Tupelo itinerary maker.

In September, plan for daily highs up to 85°F, and evening lows to 64°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
