Denver

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Winter Park Resort and Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum. Let the collections at Molly Brown House Museum and Denver Museum of Nature & Science capture your imagination. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Denver: Boulder (Flatirons & Chautauqua), Loveland Ski Area (in Georgetown) and Arapahoe Basin (in Keystone). The adventure continues: examine the collection at Colorado Model Railroad Museum, contemplate the long history of Centennial Village Museum, take in the awesome beauty at Lookout Mountain, and look for all kinds of wild species at Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center.
