One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
Pack the 12th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Old Tucson. Next up on the itinerary: take in breathtaking views at Sabino Canyon, admire the landmark architecture of Mission San Xavier Del Bac, tour the pleasant surroundings at Tohono Chul, and view the masterpieces at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

Phoenix to Tucson is an approximately 2-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or take a bus. Scottsdale is a city in the eastern part of Maricopa County, Arizona, adjacent to the Greater Phoenix Area. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Goldfield Ghost Town and Lake Pleasant Regional Park. The size, shape, and color of Grand Canyon National Park combine to leave an impression on visitors as deep as the canyon itself.
