Sun Valley

Sun Valley is a resort city in the western United States, in Blaine County in central Idaho, adjacent to the city of Ketchum and within the greater Wood River valley. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ketchum/Sun Valley Heritage and Ski Museum and Sawtooth Wilderness Area. Step out of the city life by going to Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain. Explore Sun Valley's surroundings by going to Redfish Outlet Lake (in Ketchum), Challis Hot Springs (in Challis) and Stanley (Stanley Lake & Climbing Tours). And it doesn't end there: explore the activities along Salmon River, grab your bike and head to Fisher Creek Trail, hit the slopes at Sun Valley Resort, and trek along Bald Mountain Trail.

To find photos, where to stay, more things to do, and other tourist information, you can read our Sun Valley vacation trip planner.

The Route module shows you all the different ways you can get to Sun Valley. In February, daily temperatures in Sun Valley can reach 36°F, while at night they dip to 18°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
