Kick off your visit on the 26th (Thu): take a stroll through Pike Place Market and then enjoy breathtaking views from Space Needle.

Houston to Seattle is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus, taxi, and flight; or drive. The time zone difference when traveling from Houston to Seattle is minus 2 hours. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Houston in July, with highs in Seattle at 79°F and lows at 60°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Fri) so you can catch the flight to Friday Harbor.

On the 28th (Sat), see the interesting displays at The Whale Museum, then relax in the rural setting at Pelindaba Lavender Farm, and then admire the majestic nature at Lime Kiln Point State Park.

Traveling by flight from Seattle to Friday Harbor takes an hour. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry; or do a combination of flight, taxi, and ferry. In July, Friday Harbor is a bit cooler than Seattle - with highs of 72°F and lows of 49°F. On the 29th (Sun), you'll travel to Astoria.

On the 30th (Mon), stop by Beach Books, enjoy the sand and surf at Cannon Beach, and then admire the majestic nature at Ecola State Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: appreciate the history behind Astoria Column and then contemplate the waterfront views at Columbia River Maritime Museum.

You can do a combination of flight, train, and bus from Friday Harbor to Astoria in 7.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of ferry, train, and bus. Expect a bit warmer evenings in Astoria when traveling from Friday Harbor in July, with lows around 55°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 31st (Tue) to allow time for the car ride to Newport.

On the 1st (Wed), immerse yourself in nature at Cape Perpetua Visitor Center - Siuslaw National Forest and then kick back and relax at Nye Beach. On the 2nd (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for all kinds of wild species at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, visit a coastal fixture at Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and then kick back and relax at Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area.
