One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Tucson: Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter Observatory (in Mount Lemmon) and Kartchner Caverns State Park (in Benson). Pack the 7th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Old Tucson. There's still lots to do: learn more about the world around you at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, tour the pleasant surroundings at Reid Park Zoo, examine the collection at Pima Air & Space Museum, and admire the architecture and history at Mission San Xavier Del Bac.

Norfolk to Tucson is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST), which is usually a -2 hour difference. In January, Tucson is a bit warmer than Norfolk - with highs of 65°F and lows of 41°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Tue) to allow time to travel to Superior.

Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.
Venture out of the city with trips to Camp Verde (Out of Africa Wildlife Park & Montezuma Castle National Monument) and Arizona Copper Art Museum (in Clarkdale). There's lots more to do: explore the striking landscape at Cathedral Rock, stroll through Broken Arrow Trail, hike along Doe Mountain Trail, and soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers.

You can drive from Superior to Sedona in 3 hours. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Superior in January: high temperatures in Sedona hover around 54°F and lows are around 37°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Wed) so you can go by car to Williams.

Williams
A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Williams lies on one of the first highways ever built in America, the iconic "Route 66." The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Thu): play a few rounds at Elephant Rocks at Williams and then identify plant and animal life at Bearizona Wildlife Park.

Traveling by car from Sedona to Williams takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Sedona in January, with highs in Williams at 46°F and lows at 20°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Grand Canyon National Park.

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Spend the 31st (Wed) behind the viewfinder with an inspiring photography tour. Spend the 2nd (Fri) exploring nature at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. There's lots more to do: trek along Horseshoe Bend, explore the stunning scenery at Antelope Canyon, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and admire the engineering at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
