Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Thu): steep yourself in history at Colosseum, then admire the striking features of Pantheon, then ponder the design of Trevi Fountain, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at St. Peter's Basilica. On your second day here, explore the world behind art at Vatican Museums, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza Navona, and then explore the ancient world of Palatine Hill.

Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Sat): see the interesting displays at Galleria dell'Accademia, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and then examine the collection at Uffizi Gallery. Keep things going the next day: snap pictures at Ponte Vecchio, admire the landmark architecture of Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte, make a trip to Piazzale Michelangelo, then get engrossed in the history at Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence, and finally admire the masterpieces at Pitti Palace.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Tue): don't miss a visit to St. Mark's Square, steep yourself in history at Ponte dei Sospiri, then admire the landmark architecture of Doges' Palace, and finally admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco. On the 7th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, admire the masterpieces at Peggy Guggenheim Collection, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, then explore the activities along Canal Grande, and finally head off the coast to Isola di Burano.
