Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai

#1 of 16 in Historic Sites in Dubai
Visit Jumeirah Mosque, a place of worship and cultural center that places particular emphasis on introducing Islam to non-Muslim guests. Built in the late 1970s, the mosque represents a traditional Fatimid style of architecture, with tall twin minarets on either side of a large central dome. Join a guided tour to see the mosque's attractive interior and learn about the traditions and history of Islam in the country and across the region. As opposed to many places of worship in the city, photography is allowed here, so make sure to bring your camera. • As a person with no religious affiliation I found this visit very interesting. The speaker was of English background and very informative. The tour, for 25 dirhams, is a walk up so no need to book. Ju...  more »
  • A beautiful mosque, the only one in Dubai who can visit the followers of other religions than islam. The mosque you can visit 6 days a week (without reservation). Meeting at 09.45 hrs before the entrance of the mosque. Tour lasts 75 minutes. You should be aware of the appropriate attire. In the Interior of the mosque is allowed to do photos, so you might want to bring your camera equipment.

  • This relatively modern Mosque is for non Muslims on a number of days per week. Against payment of aed 25 you can visit this mosque. You'll get a tour with explanation about the beliefs, rituals and customs. Ex-ante and ex-post can you free coffee, tea or water use. Also you can make use of fine Arabic snacks. You can also free a koran and other books about the faith. The tour was pretty good and you could ask questions about her faith and the use. No question remained onbeantwoordt. The mosque itself is not super particular but certainly with the tour worth a visit.

  • Visited the mosque with friends. It was a very good experience. The entry fee is 20 aed or something. There was a guided tour of the place as well as an introduction to Islam and the 5 pillars of Islam. It was a simply awesome experience for non-Muslims like us. There were local snacks and delicacies to enjoy.
  • Incredible looking architecture. Very hospitable service and great food. Please remember to wear modest clothing if attending a tour. You'll want to be there early to schedule your tour and spend time in their learning centre. Try the camel milk ice cream!
  • The only mosque in Dubai that welcomes non-Muslim guests six days a week. Note that women are asked to wear a scarf when visiting. The guide is very helpful and would give you every information about the mosque. It is the most photographed mosque in Dubai and its very beautiful with its splendid architecture. There is parking facility around the mosque.
  • Lovely 1st mosque experience. Cost is 20-30 Durams to enter (I can't remember exactly) but it comes with a guided tour, Arabic snacks, and proper dress. Highly recommended for those who have never been to a mosque or are curious about Islam.
  • I didn’t get a chance to visit the Jumeirah Mosque but I will surely visit next time.looks great during any time of day.Situated in Dubai and looks great from outside.

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
