  • My opinion is that this was the best golf I've played either in Ireland or the U.S. We played Doonbeg, Lahinch, Tralee, Sligo, Enniscrone, and County Louth in addition to RCD. Hands down the best. We ...  more »

  • Tough course, a number of blind shots to play from the teeing areas. But golf is a challenge and Royal County Down is a fantastic course that will challenge all parts of your game. Yes indeed another golf course to play in Ireland at least once.
  • Unbelievable place. Perfect day and course. A beast but beautiful. Sit on the back of the 18th tee and look around. Wonderful.
  • Tough golf course to play. Certainly it is a course to played a number of times. I found the blind shots and the fairway bunker quite challenging. But Royal County Down is a wonderful test of golf.
  • Bucket list item. Course was in great shape and the cadfy was very helpful.
  • By far the best golf course I've played if I could give another star I would. Had the advantage of decent weather but a stiff breeze made it more challenging. One thing to remember is to trust the lines indicated by the marker stones and you won't go far wrong on any of the blind tee shots. The stroke saver will help you if you don't opt for a caddy. Presentation of the course was superb and the greens were immaculate. Was worth every penny.
