  • House and grounds superb but let down by the worst by far of all the cafes at National Trust properties in Northern Ireland which are generally of a high standard. Too small, badly laid out - nothing ...  more »
  • Mount Stewart is a lovely National Trust property on the shore of Strangford Lough. We were lucky to have a ‘private’ tour of the house - just my friend and I - from Ian. We loved hearing the history ...  more »

  • Excellent. Including café. Fast friendly service, good food. You don't expect that at a tourist attraction! Lovely old house, impressive but not imposing. Guides in every room, full of info and insights, genuinely friendly. They obviously love the place, and make you feel they have enjoyed you visiting! We'll be back.
  • Genuinely fantastic. The guides are full of stories, and will talk to you all day about the history of the house and the family. It's a beautiful place, and there's a lot of pretty beautiful art on the walls in the manor house too if you're into paintings. If you've never been, imagine that you'll need more time than you think. I was there for a few hours but I easily could have spent the day there between the house and gardens.
  • Great place for walking and the paths are good. The house is definitely worth seeing. Beautiful scenery and has a adventure play ground for the kids. The gardens are beautiful at anytime of the year. We where here in January 2018 and the lake was frozen. There is a cafe/coffee shop at the entrance. You can spend a hole day here. The views from the summer house is amazing. On a clear day you can see the mourne mountains.
  • A real life look at history. The lady on reception and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and very friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone. I didn't get time to go to the lake but I'm sure it would be as impressive as the house.
  • Lovely walk out an around. Get yourself a national trust membership card. I haven't got one. A bit on the expensive side without one. Temple of the winds is a beautiful stand alone building. Will be back but with that card :)
