  • Museum dedicated to educational, playful and interactive activities. Although it is suitable for children up to 12 years, the smallest advantage. There are indoor and outdoor activities (wet area), in the heat seems to be fun because they play with water. We went on a Tuesday and the Museum was full of children who were in school excursions. In February the weather was not good for outdoor activities.

  • I absolutely LOVE bringing my 4 years old son to the Children's Museum of Houston!! He has such an amazing time every time. There's so much to do, it's so involved even my 15 year old has fun here. She really enjoyed the little challenge course on the bottom floor. My son loves painting, the location with the grocery store, the outdoor area, he LOVES the giant tubes that shoot little fluffy balls around. Just so much to do and enjoy here. Your little ones will definitely tire themselves out. And the membership is definitely worth it if you live in Houston, making going there not an expensive have to spend money situation. Thanks to the wonderful staff who keep the place going, you're amazing!!
  • This is a great place. So many activities for the kids to play. I like that they have a spot for super little ones. I went with a 6 month old girl, a 5 year old boy, a 6 year old girl, and a 7 year old girl. They all a had a great time. My only issue is there is no real security when you leave to make sure the child/children you leave with is the ones you came with. That is the only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star.
  • Even though the museum had high crowds due to spring break, the employees and the museum do not skip a beat. They are always friendly, professional and most importantly, kid-friendly. I recommend this place to anyone with young children, the experience each time is new and exciting for the young explorers. Every area has been carefully thought out and kid-proofed with their safety in mind. Highly recommend!
  • Great place to take your kids to get involved with kid level displays and active play areas and an enormous multi-story climbing disc playground. Also has a fun nature and water playground area outside. Food is a little pricey, admission is little pricey, but they do offer free visiting for a few hours once a week. Good place for children to get their wiggles out and learn something while they're at it.
  • We like the activities at the museum and the exploratory nature of its settings. I found this may time I went in December to be more chaotic than usual. There were broken experiments in several of the exhibits and no-one made the smallest effort to call maintenance to repair them. The museum has several age tears, many activities for 6 to 10, but not much for 11 years old. It is a overwhelming experience for the kids most of the time. Though they love it. Plan to be there from 1 to 3 hours and maybe come back later the same day. In the negative side, parking is expensive and insufficient. Be patient.
