Minute Maid Park, Houston

4.6
Minute Maid Park has been home to Major League Baseball's Houston Astros since 2000. Constructed with a retractable roof (the first of its kind in the city), the stadium can adjust its environment to combat bad weather and accommodate good conditions. The field consists of natural grass in sharp contrast to its predecessor's AstroTurf. Catch an Astros game if you're there during the season, otherwise, you can explore the facility on a guided tour, which takes you through the dugout, press box, bullpen, and luxury suites to see the internal functioning of a professional baseball team. Consult the stadium's event schedule for information regarding special offers and exhibits. • I went to the tour, since he had not departed, and I really liked, if you like baseball, you have to go, if not, it is up to you, the tour explained it well and lead you to many places in the stadium, including within the field, at the end you can buy something in the souvenir shop

  • Great experience and atmosphere. Thanks to the architecture, you don't even really have to understand baseball to love the place. Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere during the World Series. Ticket prices are normally pretty good and vendors have good prices when you consider the fact that it's stadium food. I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially on Friday for the post-game fireworks.
  • There's something about this place when the sun goes down. I enjoy watch the Astros play here. Fun, friendly, laid back atmosphere. You will be walking, so get ya walking shoes. Easy to get in and out of Downtown
  • Never went inside. So I can't really give a honest review. Looks beautiful from the outside period was surprised to only find one bar across the street from it period was surprised at how small the grounds are.
  • This was one of the better baseball parks I have been to. They have great food options, with lots of local favorites like Torchys Tacos. They also have good desert options. Most importantly, the seats on the lower deck have great viewing angles, the staff is friendly, and you can get there pretty easily by the train and a short walk, depending on where you are traveling from.
  • Still one of the newest stadiums in the MLB franchise and it houses the best team in baseball! Who could not give this stadium a 5 star rating? I love coming here and watching games roof open or closed.

Where to stay in Houston

If you come to Houston to splurge while on holiday, book a luxurious room at a downtown hotel. This area is an ideal base for getting to know Houston, offering you a chance to stay within walking distance of one of the country's largest theater districts. Houston bills itself as the "Energy Capital of the World," so it's no surprise that it houses many "green" hotels, their garages designed to cater to electric vehicle owners. For something completely different, enjoy a Texas country experience at a working ranch outside the city limits.
