  • NASA was overall a pleasant experience. There could have been better organization getting on the trams (red and blue). Lines and wait times were long but oh the history.  more »
  • A long dream of mine to visit here since watching the moon landings as a child. The Center did not disappoint. Some great exhibits.  more »
  • Great place to take my children for educational visit. Best advice is getting the family membership. It costed us about $10 extra, but we get to be on priority line. On a hot day it worked perfectly a...  more »

  • Pros and cons, Pro: Lots of fun activities, creative learning opportunities for young kids (below teens). Adults will enjoy reading and a lot of the exhibit pieces, or the tram tour. Always something to do, and so interactive! Also it was a lot cheaper then we planned, almost everything is free, and the food is reasonably priced. Parking was only 5 bucks and because we got there early it was very close to door. Cons: Teens maybe better suited for the tram tour than kids, but much of the activities are geared towards below teen or above teen. However I seen another of teens and young adults using this as a great date night. Labeling which line is to what could be made clear, ended up standing in a line for food when the one I wanted was right next to it. Similar issue with the simulators, so pay close attention and ask team members working before assuming you are in the right line. End the end the whole family loved this place, took family and had a blast, got in at about 9:00am, so no lines, and an awesome time.
  • Loved it! It is good for all ages too. U can also use audio guides to help u understand more of the things that are being exhibited. There are also some theaters inside that show short movies and films about different Apollo missions. You can go on a 30 or 90 minute tram tour that takes you around the building as well as some of the other nearby buildings. The thing that I liked the most was the NASA Space ship that was on display by the front doors because it was the real model.
  • I come several times a year to the Johnson Space Center. Every time a visitor comes to town and when new exhibits are announced, we come here. Over the years, the museum part as well as the tours of the facilities have changed. New additions, some removals, but overall, it is very interesting for the people that are interested in space exploration. The latest big addition, the independence plaza is very interesting, though not a real space shuttle, it is extremely well done to get in and have an idea of spaces and use; as well as the 747 shuttle transport plane (the real one, modified to be visited) shows so much about the engineering process at NASA and the behind scenes of the missions preparation. The cafeteria could be better, but it had improved so much in the last 20 years there is hope it'll be good one day. The staff is very friendly and willing to help all the time. If you're lucky, you may see a real astronaut and be able to ask questions. Be aware that the parking fee is additional to your entry ticket
  • Awesome place to go. I recommend paying the extra 10-15 bucks for membership. Basically it is like a fast pass at theme parks and provides year round free access and parking. Also discount at the cafe, which is needed. Normal prices are on the high side. The tram tour is excellent. Make sure you do this when you are there. There is also restrooms during the your, you just gotta find them.
  • It's amazing to see the history of space travel and all of the cool exhibits but the amount of time waiting on line makes it not a great value for the price paid. We arrived at 10:30 and got immediately on a line for the "not to be missed" 90 minute tram tour and did not return to the main building until almost 3 p.m. With only 2 hours left until the facility closed we saw only two other exhibits. I think a place that sends people into space could figure out a more efficient system. Seeing mission control and the astronaut training facility are amazing so if you are a space nerd plan to spend at least 2 days
