  • The Venetian casino is a very high quality casino, with everything you could want in a casino, including a very large and active poker room. Good choices for tournaments although played 1-2 cash here....  more »

  • Loosing money at the games table is part of the Las Vegas experience. We tried the roulette at the Venetian before dining in one of the restaurants. It was fun, but we can't say if it is different fro...  more »

  • We went to Tao nightclub and had a great time. We were able to get right in, no waiting. The music was great, drinks were not watered down. The place was full of energy and just fun to be at. We talked to so many people and really enjoyed the night. I would and have recommended it to so many people.
  • The room was gorgeous, we upgraded at the desk to a better view. The view ended up being okay, the only thing it was truly great for was scoping out what chairs were available at the pools. The mini bar was fully stocked, but that meant we couldn't bring back any leftovers. Drinks at the pool bars are quite steep, however they we're made stronger than elsewhere. Our stay was great and I would recommend it if you have the extra money to splurge.
  • Beautiful hotel and resort. I'm not a big gambler or a big fan of alcohol so I found myself at the spa. Canyon Ranch Spa was great, very relaxing, but I was pressed for time so I couldn't stay long after my massage. I'm only docking the hotel one star because the attitude with which the security and guards operate is rather abrasive, especially for a luxury resort hotel. I was asked for my I.D. over a dozen times here (which is totally fine and expected being that its Las Vegas), but I was physically ushered away from a place simply because I appeared too young (I'm not, I'm 25). They can just as easily ask for my ID and be polite. No need to make assumptions. Otherwise a very impressive property.
  • Absolutely stunning and beautiful. Inside the Venetian, you will get to walk past shops and restaurants of all varieties, but the best part is that the architecture is a scaled down replica of what Venice would look like--they even have the waterway and gondolas going! Speaking of gondolas, for a small fee you can share a gondola and float down the Venetian with your own Gondola driver. The gentleman steering ours was actually from Italy so he confirmed that the architecture is very realistic! While the casino and shops may be exciting, I would definitely also recommend the gondola ride, especially with your someone special! Opt for the indoor ride as you'll actually get a feel for being in Italy, rather than the outdoor ride showcasing the strip and hot hot weather!
  • Wonderful trip with the family. We took my son. There was plenty to do and see. The food at the sit down restaurants were a little pricey, however everything tasted good. The food court food was priced within a reasonable range. We had a blast and enjoyed the pool, views, sights and our room and staff were amazing. We will definitely come back.

Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.
