Dollywood, Pigeon Forge

4.3
Dollywood sits in the verdant foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Owned by country singer Dolly Parton, the venue offers standard amusement park thrill rides, as well as attractions with traditional crafts and music of this region. The park frequently features musical events, with regular appearances by Dolly herself. You can choose from ten themed areas packed with roller coasters, rafting rides, craft exhibits, carousels, water-toboggan rides, and live shows. The park's signature attraction is a narrow-gauge train pulled by two steam locomotives. Try to plan for a stop at the museum dedicated to gospel music. It has an interactive video and sound clips, plus thousands of items belonging to the genre's biggest names. • The parking was efficient. Tickets were easy to purchase on line. A barcode is sent to email and we just used the phone to gain entry. Very easy. The park map was confusing but if you download the app...  more »
  • Free tram to take you to the entrance, hardly any lines as it rained and many people left. Great shows, family all had a blast. Wish I could have done another day but we were only there for the day as...  more »

  • The park is very clean. The employees are very nice. The rides are incredible. The food is so good. Yes it's pricey, but no more than any other amusement park. The artisans add a nice element missing from most parks. I live 1 hour from Six Flags over Georgia and I would rather drive 3 and a half hours to go to Dolly wood. It's better in every way possible!
  • I love Dollywood! It's like a country version of Disneyland, but better. Not as crowed. The food there is amazing, great customer service, awesome rides, even people visiting the amusement park are friendly too! I go several times a year.
  • My daughter and I took our first ever vacation to Dollywood. We only live about 300 miles away, so it was long over due. We stayed at the Dream More Resort, had an excellent room, and enjoyed the buffet on the first floor. We took the shuttle to the park and immediately‚Äč purchased time saver passes for the rides. First ride: Lightning Rod. Wow. My daughter (10) could barely handle this ride. A bit rough for me as well. We then went to a few of the less intense coasters for a bit of relief. We hit the Tornado, Firechaser, and then.. the Wild Eagle. By far the best ride in the park. We rode this one 5 times in a row. Overall, we didn't go to any of the shows, or eat much in the park. We went for rides and we had an absolute blast! We enjoyed Dollywood quite a bit and, we'll be back! 5ūüĆü for the whole atmosphere that Pigeon Forge provides.
  • Awesome theme park! The roller coasters were so intense and fun. Lots of great shows with talented musicians. We went the Sun/Mon of opening weekend in March and never had more than a 20 min wait. No waits at all on Monday. If you are a Dolly fan or a fan of roller coasters this is the place for you!!
  • My family and I attended on opening day of this year. We all had a great time even though some of the rides weren't fully up and operational. They have a great selection of roller coasters and thrill rides. My only complaint would be they are lacking the smaller non thrill rides that some of my family would enjoy more. Would be nice if they could space some smaller, gentler rides in between the major attractions.
